Dr Lisa Cameron makes thousands of pounds from renting the properties to her constituents, who pay more than tenants in identical homes still in public hands. A Scottish Daily Mail investigation has uncovered the details of her £628,000 portfolio of seven properties, which includes five ex-local authority dwellings in impoverished areas – three of which were repossessions, sold off at bargain prices after previous owners could not keep up their mortgage payments. A three-year-old male leopard was found trapped in a cage kept by the Forest Department at Kalenahalli, near Kikkeri in K.R. Pet taluk, in the district on Monday morning. The leopard had triggered panic in the vicinity of Kalenahalli by killing several sheep and stray dogs. Responding to the complaints, the department had placed a cage in the farmland of Suryanarayan at the village recently. The leopard was found trapped in the cage in the early hours of Monday, Forest department sources said. Its health is good and there are no injury marks on its body.
